Did you know that it’s okay to choose YOU? In fact, it’s crucial for your overall well-being and ability to thrive in life.

It’s okay to say Yes to your dreams, your passions, your desires and to who you want to be.

It’s okay for you to stop settling and start thriving; so, you can redesign your life to work for you; instead of against you.

Sometimes I think that we forget that. We forget that we get to choose what we want to be, feel, have and do in our own lives.

This morning I was thinking about how complicated my life had become lately and how out of alignment I felt. Similarly, several of my clients shared that they were experiencing the same feelings about their own lives.

After praying and asking for some insight, I received this message.

Your life is hard and complicated because you’re making choices that are going against the grain of who you truly are and what you really want. You’re making choices that set yourself up for failure, rather than success. You’re not choosing to honor YOU.

Well, that was an annoying message. But it got me thinking about how the daily choices we make and the daily actions we take can create the quality of our lives; both good and bad.

Even when we think that there are no choices to make, there really are. Every day, we’re making countless little decisions that lead us in a certain direction.

The problem is that we neglect to consider or prioritize our own happiness as being important in the decision-making process. As heart-centered women, we tend to give to everyone and everything else before we give to ourselves. Then we feel lost, stressed, frustrated and off our path.

Unless we make ourselves a priority in our own lives, we will never be able to fully thrive.

What Does It Mean To Choose YOU?

Choosing You can mean something different for each of us. There’s no ONE way to describe it.

Basically, it means that you choose to make You a priority in your own life.  It means that you honor your whole self: mind, body spirit.

It means that your well-being and happiness are important to you and you make choices that support your values and desires.

It means that you create a life that works for you, not against you. A life where you feel authentic, loved, worthy, safe and aligned. A life where you can make a difference.

Choosing You doesn’t mean that you don’t care about others. It doesn’t mean that you ignore everyone else’s needs and just focus on your own.

It means that you love, value and care for yourself as much as anyone else.

Why It’s Important To Choose YOU.

Choosing You is key to your thriving in life. It’s not selfish but essential for your emotional, spiritual and physical well-being.

Only you can know your true, authentic self and the importance of living as Her.

Only you can really connect with your heart, soul, values and deepest desires.

Only you can discover your purpose and experience the spiritual connection, awakening or guidance needed to design your best life.

The bottom line is this. No one will make you as much of a priority in their life as you can make yourself in your own.

You are valuable and worthy of your own time, attention, energy, care and love.

You were made on purpose for a purpose to be uniquely YOU and shine your light in the world.

Yet, it’s so easy to forget about who we truly are and what lights us up because we get caught up in the responsibilities of our lives. We get in the habit of putting ourselves on the back burner until the time is “right”; which often never comes.

Then we feel unhappy, lost, stuck, exhausted and resentful. We feel empty inside and have nothing left to give ourselves or to pour out into the world.

However, when you choose YOU, your life changes for the better.  You become the person you were created to be and begin to live in alignment with your true path.

You experience more gratitude, more happiness, more clarity, more energy, more fulfillment and a greater sense of purpose and peace.

You become a better You, partner, Mom, friend and person. You feel happier from the inside out; and that happiness pours out into lives of other’s and blesses them as well.

The Question is This: How Often Do You Choose YOU?

Every moment is a choice where you can choose to show up for yourself or not. Are you showing up for yourself in your own life? Ask yourself these questions to find out.

How often do you make choices and take actions that increase your happiness and well-being?

How often do you make choices and take actions that align with the values and desires that are important to you?

How often do you make choices and take actions that lift you up and make you stronger?

How often do you make choices and take actions that are kind, loving and compassionate towards yourself?

How often do you make choices and take actions that set you up for success, whatever that means to you?

How often to you make choices and take actions that honor the unique and wonderful person of YOU?

This is a good place to start for you to become your truest self and create a life that nourishes your soul.
